so he’s here..

and I forgot to update my blog. First, the link. Second, the announcement -

On Sunday, January 11, 2009,  19:19 hours, my son, Caleb Everett Stinson was born. 8lbs, 4oz and 21 inches long with red hair.

When he arrived, I went straight to facebook and myspace to announce it right after I setup his picasa web album. So weird how technology has become so important in communication. Used to be, we’d have to be on the phone for hours calling everyone and giving the stats - before that, we’d have to send out birth announcements, and before that, well, if you weren’t in the same village or community, you probably weren’t a relation or friend.

So here I am, a father. That is something I never really pictured myself as, but it just seems to start, as soon as you hear his first cry, and first see him moving and looking up at you, you become this new person. I can understand what all my friends with kids have said now.

We all got home Wednesday night, and that night was a bit rought. Caleb had some congestion keeping him from resting but we finally got that around 7 AM so he (we) could sleep. Since then he’s had his days/nights kind of messed up but last night was really good and I think we got him back on schedule.

His and mom’s doctors appointments have been going really well, and I’ve been telecommuting so I can stay home to help Taryn out until she heals up from the procedure enough to take over full time.

That’s about all I’ve got to post right now. Back to work.

Caleb

We had the opportunity to have another ultrasound on Monday, and this time we got to get some 3-d images of him. It’s a pretty cool technology. Pics are below. Sorry for the size - but enjoy!
